MINIMA - David Sloane - 700198745

This is my work (David Sloane as i didn't get a chance to accept Richard's invite to the blogs during the semester so i am using Piotr's blog to get my stuff out there)
Task
Minima: Design a self-contained, demountable, re-locatable living capsule for one person. The living space must cater for a sleeping space, a study or work space, a cooking and eating space, a shower and a toilet. In this project students analyse how the dimensions of the human body relate ergonomically to constructed space, and how objects of everyday use structure, define and order design.

This is my answer to the task set by Minima.

Developmental drawings
Final design
left section model
two models COMBINED!
right section model

the images show my (being David Sloane's) results of the task set by the Minima project. i decided upon something a minimal a possible, saving space where i could. the photos start with my developmental sketches and go through to the final presentation being the model and the poster. the purpose of Minima as i understood it was to create as minimal a space as possible using my own anthropometrics as well as creating an aesthetically pleasing space that sits in it's context.
