These are the final designs for our Domus project. It shows (from top to bottom) our Site plan, building plan, long section, details, north elevation and a 3d representation of our model. The site which we designed for was in Kakadu, a humid, tropical climate. The building's design expels heat through ventilation via the roof where the heat rises and a the breeze comes in through and out the other end of the building. Large distinguished eaves at the sunniest points of our building also deter direct sunlight, however capture ambient, indirect light that is intentionally directed to the study and working areas, and less to the sleeping quarters.
